Cilokaq is one kind of traditional music in Lombok Sasak tribe. Cilokaq likely derived from the word ‘seloka’ as sung poetry is seloka.

Cilokaq music is a game set of traditional musical instruments such as Mandolin, Jidur, Kempul and Rincik to accompany chanting songs Sasak the ‘kayaq’. These songs contain advice and advice in the form rhymes.

        Additionally, children who are being the smokers can cause the bronchitis and pneumonia, if they smoke fifteen cigarettes every day.

        But, smoking is really good for tobacco companies, because they can produce much money, but smoking habit is still not good for everybody else.

Sumur Tua di Masjid Jami Narussalam Sesele

Di sebuah desa yang dikenal dengan nama Desa Sesele terdapat suatu cerita atausejarah yang cukup diyakini dikalangan masyarakat sini,didesa ini ada sebuah sumur tuayang airnya diyakini dapat mengobati berbagai penyakit. Berdasarkan cerita sumur tua yangada didesa ini muncul akibat dari seorang pemuda musafir yang kehausan mencari air. Dariperjalanannya yang dilaluinya dia tidak pernah minum dan mendapatkan air dan akhirnya iasinggah didalam halaman Masjid. Di Masjid ini dia lalu melihat sebuah pohon kecil, dan ialalu mencabut pohon tersebut dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan air, dan benar saja.Alangkah terkejutnya pemuda itu, tibatiba keluar mata air yang sangat jernih, sang pemudatidak henti-hentinya mengucap rasa syukur kepada sang Khalik karena telah menemukansumber mata air.Hingga kini mata air tersebut telah berubah menjadi sumur tua, seiring denganberjalannya perkembangan waktu dan pergantian zaman. Disamping itu sumur tua tersebuttelah beberapa kali mengalami kejadian yang luar biasa. Yaitu meluapnya air sumur hinggakepermukaan tanah.Konon warga setempat meyakini kalau air sumur tersebut dapat menyembuhkanberbagai penyakit. Dan juga ada warga dari wilayah lain yang datang hanya untukmengambil air tersebut.Selain itu juga warga berkesempatan diri untuk berziarah ke makam yang dianggapkeramat. Konon makam ini diyakini tempat meninggalnya pemuda tersebut. Hingga kinicerita tersebut masih tetap terjaga dikalangan masyarakat sini.

Legenda Nama LOMBOK

Lombok adalah nama sebuah pulau yang kini menjadi salah satu bagian propinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Pulau yang lain adalah Pulau Sumbawa. Pulau Lombok termasuk pulau kecil di kepulauan Nusantara, namun bagi propinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat merupakan salah satu pulau yang besar. Pulau Lombok luasnya sepertiga dari luas Pulau Sumbawa. Namun, penduduk Nusa Tenggara Barat yang berjumlah lebih dari tiga juta, dua pertiganya tinggal di Pulau Lombok. Hal ini terjadi karena Pulau Lombok lebih subur dari Pulau Sumbawa. Penduduk Pulau Lombok adalah orang Sasak. Mereka pemeluk agama Islam.
Lombok dan Sasak adalah dua nama yang tidak bisa dipisahkan. Nama Lombok untuk sebutan pulaunya, nama Sasak untuk sebutan suku bangsanya. Lombok berasal dari bahasa Sasak; “lombo,” artinya “lurus”. Sasak sebenarnya berasal dari “sak-sak” yang artinya “perahu bercadik”.
Namun, banyak orang yang salah mengerti. Lombok diartikan “cabe” sehingga ada yang mengartikan pulau Lombok sebagai “pulau pedas”. Padahal cabe dalam bahasa Sasak adalah “sebia” (dibaca “sebie”)
